What are the Northern Lights
The natural phenomenon that are the Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are an amazing site for anyone to see. These colorful viewings are a result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere (click here for more information).
As the natural event happens near the magnetic poles it is best seen near the North or South Pole. Especially in Lapland during the winter months the light is a frequent visitor when there is a clear sky and there isn’t a lot of sunlight.

The complete trip
Yes-Trips will take you to Lapland. During your trip everything is organized from activities, to accommodation, or local parties or tours. Everything is adjusted to fit a student's budget.
Snow Activities
During your stay in the most Northern parts of Europe there are a few activities you must do. Think of riding a husky sled, go ice fishing or ride a snowmobile! Yes-Trips will make sure you get the most out of your trip.

Want to beat the cold in Europe's chilliest spots? How about diving into some city center bars or hosting epic game nights at the hostel? Best way to connect with fellow travelers and even make some new pals.

When buying a flight make sure to buy the best time range you can get.
In particular, when purchasing your flight return ticket, always consider any delays with train schedule from Lapland back to Stockholm and the time needed to get from Stockholm train station to the airport (+ all check-in procedures) on the last day. Train timetable will be communicated directly via email ahead of time.

By train
Arlanda Express operates Stockholm Arlanda Airport to/from Stockholm Central Station every 10-15 minutes throughout the day. The travel time is 18 minutes. It costs extra to purchase a ticket onboard the train, so you are recommended to buy tickets online, at the airport information desks, or from a ticket machine. (8,39€)
Commuter trains depart twice an hour from Arlanda and take 38 minutes to Stockholm and 18 minutes to Uppsala. Buy your ticket at the Arlanda Central station desk, in the SL app or at the normal SL and UL sales points.
By bus
Flygbussarna Airport Coaches operate three lines between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Stockholm (Stockholm C, Liljeholmen and Brommaplan), with several stops on the way. Travel time is around 45-55 minutes. Buy your ticket online, from the ticket machines at the airport or on the bus. (11,54€)
Flixbus also operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport with buses going directly to/from Stockholm C and Liljeholmen multiple times a day. (from 6 to 10€)
Taxi
It takes 40-45 minutes from the airport to central Stockholm, depending on traffic. Usually, it costs 67,15€

Chances are you can, January and February are a good season to see the Northern Lights! However, we can't be 100% sure that you will gaze upon them. So far, our groups have been able to see them without any problems.

If you’ve bought your ticket for you can cancel it and get a full refund until NEW INFO TO BE UPDATED by sending and email to info@yes-trips.com with “cancellation Lapland trip” as object.
After the NEW INFO TO BE UPDATED, cancellation with refund is not possible.
If you cannot attend the trip anymore after the NEW INFO TO BE UPDATED you can resell your ticket.

Arriving a day early/ Leaving a day late?
Don't worry, at Yes-trips we help you manage the booking of extra nights. All you have to do is send us an email to info@yes-trips.com with the subject: Extra night Stockholm and the date and we will take care of it for you.

The trip is confirmed only when the minimum number of participants is reached. When this occurs, you will be notified by email.
For this reason, we recommend not to book your flight tickets until confirmation is received!
