What is the ESN National Activity?
Every semester, a group of ESN sections embark on an incredible excursion to one of Europe's main cities. The weekend is jam-packed with events, trips, parties, and new friends from across the world. Prague, Berlin, Kings Day in Amsterdam, and Krakow have all been previous destinations, with the greatest excursion sending over 1300 International Erasmus students to Krakow.
In 2024 with ESN Netherlands and ESN International, for the first time we are bringing you to Copenhagen from the 2nd of May to the 5th of May 2024 (buses are back on Monday 6th in the morning).

What are we going to do?
The ESN national activity is a very big trip with lots of possibilities. Here are some of the things that we organize together with the national board of ESN The Netherlands and the local Dutch ESN sections.
The activities
Various cultural events will be organized for you by the different ESN branches. A delicious supper with local delicacies, museum tours, city activities, or excursions to spectacular destinations are just a few ideas. Nothing is required; simply participate in whichever activity you enjoy!
Accommodation
The goal of this tour is to meet and get to know Erasmus students from all over the globe. As a result, everyone will be housed in various hostels across the city, which we will totally take over.
Parties
What is the best way to mix a lot of people together? Throw a massive party! Every night, all Erasmus students will get together at a local venue and dance through the night!

Thursday evening: 02nd of May
Departure from The Netherlands/Gent with a touring car 📍
Start meeting all your trip mates and get some rest in the overnight bus ride! 🚌

Friday: 3rd of May
Arrival in Copenhagen in the morning 🇩🇰
Drop the luggage at the hostel 🧳
Freetime to get breakfast, freshen up and start exploring the city 😉

20:30 Meet at the hostel common area to get to know each other better
21:30 leaving the hostel together to go to the fist night party!
Saturday: 4th of May
During the day, the ESN sections and Yes-trips will organize various activities, (some free, some for a small fee) to make sure that you get the most out of the city. Optional activities have limited spots and need registration.
Optional activities tickets available from 16th April at 18:00, deadline to register is SUNDAY 28th H 23:59.

We will go to a cozy bar or park and start the speed friending. We will prepare the questions and look for the ideal place in Copenhagen (based on capacity, weather etc)

Embark on a Scandinavian adventure from Copenhagen to Malmo and Lund! Experience the vibrant cultures of both cities 2 city tours through historic landmarks, charming streets, and cultural hotspots of the cities! Don't miss this opportunity to soak in the best of Sweden, just a short journey from Denmark's capital! We will be back in time for the pubcrawl (around 17:00)
Includer: tansport in private bus from Copenhagen to Malmo and Lund and back and 2 city tours.

Visit this well-known and at the same time mysterious hippie neighborhood in Copenhagen where it is said that they have their own laws and were respect and love are the only rule. We will take a walking tour with a local who will show us a personal view of this area.

Interested in taking up a little challenge with a group of ESN students? Join us in this Hunting Down Copenhagen event on the 3rd of May from 3pm onwards. Different monuments and sculptures will be presented to you and your task will be to find them within two hours! The winning group will be rewarded with a nice prize :) So, don’t wait too long! Form your groups, charge your batteries and Hunt Down these famous monuments of Copenhagen!

Follow your guides to the best pubs in Copenhagen recommended by ESN Copenhagen! You will get a free shot in each of the 3 bars we will visit, to end the night al together in one of the best Copenhagen clubs!
To go from bar to bar we will be divided in groups that will be done starting from H 18:00 at the hostel.
Sunday: 5th of May
10:30 – 11:00 Check-out at the hostel and leave the luggage in the common room.

You can re-sell your ticket to someone else. The important thing is that the new person who bought the ticket has the ticket with the QR code. It is not a problem if the ticket does not show the name of the person joining the trip.

Before the trip starts you will receive an email with the detailed program of the trip. In the email, there will be a QR code to a WhatsApp chat where all the last-minute information will be communicated by the Yes-trips guides.
